Renowned for their commitment to sustainability and innovation, they play a vital role in delivering essential services. Following continued growth, they are now seeking a proactive Breakdown Coordinator to join their dynamic team and support the seamless operation of their fleet.

The Role

As a Breakdown Coordinator, you’ll be at the heart of managing vehicle incidents, ensuring minimal downtime, and keeping the fleet running smoothly. You’ll act as the key point of contact for drivers, maintenance teams, and external service providers, coordinating rapid responses to breakdowns and maintaining clear communication throughout.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Responding promptly to vehicle breakdowns, assessing situations, and arranging immediate assistance.
  • Coordinating towing, repairs, or vehicle replacements in line with company policies and safety standards.
  • Acting as the primary liaison between drivers, maintenance teams, and management, providing timely updates.
  • Maintaining accurate records of breakdown incidents, repairs, and follow-up actions.
  • Liaising with external service providers to ensure high-quality, efficient repairs.
  • Monitoring breakdown trends to support preventative maintenance and improve fleet performance.
  • Ensuring all activities comply with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.

The Candidate

We’re looking for a highly organised and proactive individual with previous experience as a Breakdown Coordinator or in a similar role within logistics coordination or fleet management. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment, with a knack for problem-solving and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.

Key skills & competencies include:

  • Proven experience in logistics, fleet management, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of vehicle repair processes (desirable but not essential).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in software for tracking and reporting breakdowns.
  • A professional, customer-focused approach with a positive and resilient attitude.

The Benefits

  • Competitive salary, dependent on experience.
  • 24-26 days holiday per annum (inclusive of bank holidays).
  • Company pension scheme.
  • Access to Clancy Xtras, an employee benefits programme with discounts at major retailers.
  • Cycle to work scheme.
  • Employee Assistance Programme.
  • Full-time, permanent position with opportunities for career development.
