Job description

Job Title: Service Charge Officer

An exciting position has arisen for a Service Charge Officer to work for a community-based charity in West London. The postholder will assist the finance team with a service charge backlog and will be reconciling statements in preparation for the year-end audit.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist the Head of Finance with a backlog of service charge statements.
2. Reconcile service charge statements and update information on Excel.
3. Maintain tenancy and charging details in the Property Management software.
4. Raise and dispatch rent demands to tenants and post entries to the ledgers.
5. Process tenancy at wills, subsidised rent, and deferred rent journals and reconciliation.
6. Review voids and recharges.
7. Assist in month-end reporting.
8. Take ownership of year-end MUS closure and service charge statements.
9. Handle service charge queries.
10. Require experience in processing service charges.
11. Minimum of 3 years' experience in a finance role.
