Job summary

Beach Baker Property Recruitment is seeking a Service Charge Consultant to join a growing property team in London with remote working options. You will advise on service charge budgets, reconciliations, compliance, and due diligence across a varied commercial and mixed-use portfolio.

Candidates with strong service charge experience in commercial property management or consultancy will excel. MRICS/IRPM qualifications would be beneficial.

Qualifications

• Experience within commercial property management, service charge consultancy or service charge accounting.
• Strong understanding of commercial service charge legislation and best practice.
• Experience reviewing service charge budgets and reconciliations.
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients and stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving.
• MRICS, IRPM or relevant accounting qualifications would be beneficial but are not essential.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and auditing service charge budgets and reconciliations.
• Providing technical service charge advice to property owners and occupiers.
• Supporting clients with service charge disputes and queries.
• Advising on compliance with current industry legislation and best practice.
• Undertaking service charge due diligence exercises.
• Identifying opportunities to improve service charge processes and reporting.
• Liaising with property managers, surveyors, accountants and external stakeholders.
• Assisting with service charge budgeting and forecasting exercises.
• Producing reports and recommendations for clients.
• Delivering a high-quality consultancy service across a varied property portfolio.
