Abbott is seeking an experienced Manager, Medical Devices Service Centre in the United Kingdom to lead a high-performing team and drive exceptional service, quality, and compliance across the medical devices portfolio.

In this role, you will oversee up to 30 staff, manage budgets and cross-functional collaboration with Commercial, Quality, Regulatory, Supply Chain and Engineering to deliver business results and operational excellence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science or related technical field.
  • Proven leadership experience in a regulated manufacturing, medical device, service, or technical environment.
  • Strong understanding of quality systems, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence.
  • Demonstrated success leading Lean, Six Sigma, or other improvement programs delivering measurable results.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management across all levels.
  • Experience managing operational budgets, performance metrics, and resource planning.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team fostering accountability, engagement, innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Direct day-to-day Service Centre operations to deliver service, quality, compliance and financial objectives.
  • Develop and execute operational, financial and strategic plans aligned with broader business goals.
  • Partner with Commercial, Quality, Regulatory, Supply Chain and cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional service and operational excellence.
  • Drive Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, quality, efficiency and service performance.
  • Own Service Centre performance metrics.
  • Lead cross-functional investigations, identify root causes, communicate findings and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable quality, regulatory and EHS requirements, including ISO 13485, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
  • Manage departmental budgets, resource planning, recruitment, succession planning and employee development activities.

This role is responsible for delivering exceptional operational performance, ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory requirements, and driving continuous improvement across all aspects of the Service Centre. As a key leader within the organization, you will oversee a team of up to 30 employees, manage operational and financial performance, and collaborate with Commercial, Quality, Regulatory, Supply Chain, and Engineering teams to ensure outstanding customer service and business results.

Key Responsibilities
