Service Advisor needed in the Dorchester area of Dorset

We are working with a Motor Garage that is actively looking for a Service Advisor to join their friendly team in Dorchester, Dorset.

Job Details

• Role: Motor Vehicle Service Advisor
• Salary: Circa 26k plus 8k Bonus
• Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 35 hours per week; Saturday 8am – 1pm on rota (paid as overtime)

Service Advisor Duties include:

• Ensuring customers are aware of service and repair work required in a professional manner
• Advising on estimated costs of repairs and work to be undertaken
• Selling additional products as appropriate to customers’ needs
• Advising on timescales and collection arrangements
• Producing job cards on in-house computer system
• Updating customer and vehicle records
• Documenting all warranty work in accordance with manufacturer policy
• Preparing and completing invoices

Requirements

• Some experience as a Service Advisor within a motor garage environment (passenger cars, commercial vehicles, HGV, LCV)
• Full driving license

As a Service Advisor, you will ensure the highest standards of courtesy and professionalism when interacting with customers and the public. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills, excellent rapport-building abilities, and confidence in up-selling opportunities.
