William James Recruitment is seeking a Serious Injury Litigator to join its Liverpool team on a hybrid basis. The role involves managing high-value injury claims, including brain and spinal injuries, with strong training and career progression opportunities.

The successful candidate will handle complex matters, draft pleadings and schedules of loss, and work closely with Counsel to progress cases in line with CPR and pre-action protocols.

• Strong litigation and technical drafting abilities.

Responsabilités

• Manage a caseload of serious and catastrophic injury claims.
• Handle brain, spinal, amputations and complex orthopaedic injuries.
• Attend client meetings and conferences with Counsel.
• Review medical evidence and expert reports.
• Draft witness statements, schedules of loss and instructions to Counsel.
• Progress matters under Civil Procedure Rules and pre-action protocols.
• Liaise with medical, forensic and technical experts.
• Negotiate interim payments, settlements and costs.
• Deliver exceptional client care across each claim.
• Support junior colleagues and contribute to the team.

Serious Injury Litigator - Liverpool with Hybrid Working - Competitive Salary + Bonus + Benefits

A leading claimant law firm is seeking a Serious Injury Litigator to join its highly regarded Serious Injury team in Liverpool. The successful candidate will work on a varied caseload of high-value and complex injury claims, including brain injuries, spinal injuries, amputations and serious orthopaedic trauma. The Role:

• Manage a caseload of serious injury and catastrophic injury claims
• Handle matters involving brain injuries, spinal injuries, amputations and complex orthopaedic injuries
• Attend client meetings, conferences with Counsel, hearings and expert appointments
• Review and analyse medical evidence, expert reports and rehabilitation documentation
• Draft witness statements, pleadings, schedules of loss and instructions to Counsel
• Progress matters in accordance with the Civil Procedure Rules and relevant pre-action protocols
• Liaise with medical, forensic and technical experts
• Negotiate interim payments, settlements and costs
• Deliver exceptional client care throughout the lifecycle of each claim
• Support junior colleagues and contribute to the wider success of the Serious Injury team

The Candidate:

• A qualified Solicitor or experienced Litigation Executive
• Experience handling serious injury, catastrophic injury or large loss matters
• Strong litigation and technical drafting skills
• Experience managing or assisting with complex, high-value claims
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills
• Strong analytical and organisational capabilities
• Commercially aware and solutions-focused
• Able to work effectively as part of a specialist team
• Ambitious and motivated to develop within a leading serious injury practice
