Job summary

AMD in Edinburgh invites an experienced DSP engineer to optimize high-speed SerDes systems and implement advanced DSP algorithms for 200+Gbps links. The role focuses on power-efficient design and robust performance across data center, wireless, and aerospace markets.

You will collaborate with architects and hardware teams, develop RTL (SystemVerilog) and front-end ASIC flows, and document DSP interactions with SerDes hardware and software components in a dynamic hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in DSP algorithm development for SerDes or high-speed interfaces.
• Strong RTL/ASIC front-end design fundamentals.
• Familiarity with power analysis and optimization techniques.
• Experience with SystemVerilog modelling and verification.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with architects and hardware teams to implement DSP features for SerDes.
• Develop DSP algorithms for equalization, filtering, and sequence detection.
• RTL development using front-end ASIC tools (lint, synthesis, STA) to ensure high-quality code.
• Document DSP interactions with SerDes hardware and software components.
