Job Description:

At Prospero Teaching, we’re looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and supportive school community supporting SEMH needs.

• Location: Bournemouth
• Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
• Contract Type: Temp-Perm
• Hours: Term Time only, Monday-Friday
• Start Date: January

The role involves working in SEN Support and will include:

• Providing tailored support and working with children with SEN (special education needs)
• Creating a safe environment that allows children to have fun, learn, and succeed
• Academic support on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
• Assisting the teacher

The Ideal Candidate:

• Experience supporting pupils with SEN, either voluntary or paid
• Experience working with children in a youth setting
• A strong understanding of SEN strategies and interventions
• Up-to-date Safeguarding training (preferred but not essential; training can be provided)

Eligibility Requirements:

Right to work in the UK.
An enhanced DBS certificate registered with the online update service or willingness to process a new application.
Two professional child-related references.
