Job summary

Aviy, a fully remote UK/US-friendly company, is seeking an experienced SEO lead to own technical SEO for a large site with many programmatic pages and to shape the content strategy.

You will collaborate with engineers and the content team to improve appearance in AI-driven search surfaces, own the structured data strategy, and report performance with credible forecasts.

Job description

Organic search is our largest acquisition channel by a distance. It is also the one changing fastest, as answer engines begin to sit between a search and a click.

You would own both the classic discipline and the new one: the technical foundation, the content strategy, and the question of how a small company stays visible when the answer appears above the results.

The work

The remit:

• Own technical SEO across a large site with a lot of programmatic pages
• Lead keyword and content strategy with the content team
• Improve how we appear in AI-driven search surfaces
• Own structured data strategy across the site
• Report performance and forecast it credibly

What we are looking for

Five or so years in SEO with responsibility for a site of real size. Strong technical foundations — crawling, indexing, structured data, information architecture.

Early experience optimising for AI-driven search, and the ability to work directly with engineers rather than filing requests at them.

Where you work

This one is fully remote. We care where you are only insofar as the law does: you need the right to work in the UK or the US already, because there is no office attached to this job for us to sponsor you into. Beyond that, work from wherever you work best.

We overlap a few hours a day and write the rest down. Most decisions live in documents and pull requests rather than meetings, which is partly a philosophy and mostly a consequence of being spread across time zones.

Pay and the rest of it

$85,000–$120,000 a year, reviewed every year against the market for where you live, plus share options — everyone here owns a piece of the company.
