Central Employment is seeking an SEO Lead / Technical SEO Lead to shape strategy, drive innovation, and deliver measurable organic growth for a diverse client portfolio.

You will own technical SEO across multiple brands, optimize crawl/indexing, Core Web Vitals, and site architecture while collaborating with content, paid media, and development teams to drive performance and commercial impact. Mentoring junior teammates is a key part of the role.

Formación

• Proven experience leading SEO strategy with emphasis on technical SEO and site performance.
• Experience working with large-scale eCommerce sites and retail environments.
• Proficient with industry tools (Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Sitebulb, GSC, GA4).

Are you an experienced SEO Lead/Technical SEO Lead Looking to shape strategy, drive innovation, and make a real impact within a high-performing agency environment?

We're recruiting on behalf of an established, award-winning eCommerce Growth Agency with an impressive portfolio of retail, consumer and DTC brands. Due to continued growth, they're looking for an ambitious SEO Lead / Technical SEO Lead to join their specialist search team and take ownership of technical SEO strategy, performance and delivery across a diverse client portfolio.

The Role

As SEO Lead, you'll be responsible for developing and executing advanced SEO strategies, with a particular focus on technical SEO, site performance, crawling, indexing, architecture and organic growth opportunities.

Working closely with Content, Paid Media, Digital PR, and Development teams, you'll help clients maximise search visibility, improve website performance and deliver measurable commercial results.

You'll also play a key role in mentoring junior team members, contributing to agency innovation, and acting as a trusted strategic partner to clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of technical SEO strategies across multiple eCommerce accounts.
• Conduct comprehensive technical SEO audits and deliver actionable recommendations.
• Identify and resolve issues relating to crawling, indexing, rendering, site performance and Core Web Vitals.
• Develop SEO roadmaps aligned to client growth objectives and commercial KPIs.
• Analyse organic performance, rankings, traffic and conversion data to identify opportunities for growth.
• Collaborate with developers and UX teams to support website migrations, platform changes and technical implementations.
• Provide strategic guidance on site architecture, internal linking, structured data and international SEO.
• Deliver insightful client reporting, recommendations and presentations.
• Mentor and support junior SEO team members while contributing to overall team development.
• Stay ahead of emerging SEO trends, algorithm updates and industry best practices.

About You

• Proven experience in an SEO Lead, Senior SEO Consultant, Technical SEO Specialist or similar role.
• Strong understanding of technical SEO principles and their impact on organic performance.
• Experience working with eCommerce websites and large-scale online retail environments.
• Advanced knowledge of SEO tools such as Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Sitebulb, Google Search Console and GA4.
• Strong analytical mindset with confidence interpreting performance data.
• Experience managing client relationships and presenting strategic recommendations.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate technical concepts into commercial value.
