Job description

Are you an experienced content writer specialised within search engine optimisation? Are you passionate about communicating commercial and sustainability impact towards clients, investors, and policymakers?

If this sounds like you, or you’re curious to learn more, then this role could be the perfect opportunity. Join our Brand, Marketing and External Relations unit as our new SEO Content Specialist and work with us to close the gap to a sustainable future.

Your new role

The SEO Content Specialist is responsible for developing a solid foundation for search engine optimised written content to underpin Ramboll’s global marketing and communications products. Your focus will be on Ramboll’s corporate website, marketing campaigns, and thought leadership materials.
By communicating our value propositions in search-friendly and inspiring ways, you make it easier for our clients and stakeholders to access, understand, and choose our unique offering.

  • Shape and implement global organic search optimisation of ramboll.com, helping drive ranking, traffic and engagement, in close collaboration with marketing, content, brand, and web teams, as well as subject matter experts in our business units.
  • Deliver SEO-optimised structure and content that is keyword optimised and aligned with brand messaging and tone of voice for our prioritised communications products, in close collaboration with the content and marketing teams.
  • Embed SEO fully into new content across platforms, and gradually SEO-optimise existing ramboll.com web pages for improved effect.
  • Work with marketing on search engine marketing (SEM) initiatives to collaborate and align on keyword strategy supporting commercial objectives, ensuring that paid search initiatives and organic search priorities harmonise for maximum effect.
  • Conduct on-site and off-site SEO audits to identify potential and challenges, incl. with external agencies as needed.
  • Train internal content developers to help them adopt and scale up high quality SEO skills across the organisation, and support web and design team with technical SEO.
  • Define key performance indicators demonstrating how SEO efforts deliver tangible results for our prioritised communications products, in collaboration with marketing and web teams.

About you

  • Proven experience as a copywriter with strong SEO skills, with a track record of increasing organic traffic and improving search ranking, from an agency or in-house setup.
  • Strong understanding of technical SEO and content strategy, as well as website management.
  • You know how to translate complex information into engaging search engine optimised content. You’re also good at explaining complex SEO concepts to diverse stakeholders, helping translate data-driven insights into actionable plans.
  • Experience of using CMS such as Google Search Console and Ahrefs; PiwikPro is a plus.
  • Highly organised self-starter who can plan their own time, work independently, collaborate with diverse stakeholders across time zones and in hybrid formats, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work in large organisations and juggle a variety of complex topics. It’s a plus if you can work with SEO considerations across diverse geographical markets.
  • Native English language speaker. Master’s degree in communications or marketing.
