Job summary

IFF in Haverhill, United Kingdom, is seeking a hands-on laboratory assistant to support product quality and sensory evaluations in a global flavour environment. You will prepare media, assist with routine testing, and enter results into SAP and other systems, contributing to reliable data and compliant processes.

You will work closely with quality and sensory teams on-site, maintain equipment and stock, and help coordinate sensory panels while following GLP, GMP/ISO 17025 practices and food

Qualifications

• Experience in a laboratory, quality or manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical attention to detail and ability to follow lab procedures.
• Good organisational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records and documentation methodically.
• Understanding of GLP and safety, familiarity with GMP or ISO 17025 would help.
• Effective communication and ability to work cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Prepare microbiological media and perform quality control activities.
• Assist microbiological lab setup and routine testing preparation.
• Prepare reagents and laboratory materials per procedures.
• Receive, register and prepare samples for testing and data entry.
• Monitor consumables and maintain stock levels for workflow.
• Conduct daily equipment checks and record results.
• Enter results into SAP and other systems, with accuracy.
• Support sensory lab activities and coordinate sensory panels.
• Maintain retain sample systems and flavour databases.
