Job summary

Service Care is seeking experienced Specialist Teachers of Sensory Impairment to support children and young people with hearing and/or visual impairments in Aldgate, London. The role is a 12-month placement with daily rates of £241.45 PAYE or £277.28 umbrella, starting in November 2026.

Essential requirements include QToD and/or QTVI credentials, plus roughly 5–8 years of relevant experience. London borough experience and local authority SEND familiarity are desirable assets.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher of the Deaf (QToD) and/or Qualified Teacher of the Visually Impaired (QTVI).
• Experience supporting children with hearing and/or visual impairments.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support children and young people with HI/VI in learning and development.
• Provide tailored specialist support for sensory impairment needs.
• Collaborate with SEND teams to achieve educational outcomes.
