The Education Authority in Northern Ireland seeks a Senior Youth Worker 1 (Specialism - Local) to lead youth work across a designated area, coordinating programmes with young people and partner agencies.

You will develop an Annual Action Plan, monitor progress, and ensure youth participation. The role includes line management of up to 3 staff and occasional outreach or residential activities, with a focus on equality and safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Must be a qualified Youth Worker per JNC NI standards.
• Minimum two years post-qualifying experience in managing a youth centre or project.
• Experience managing youth work staff and developing programmes.

Responsabilités

• Manage and develop youth work services across the designated area.
• Work directly with young people to assess needs and deliver activities.
• Develop annual action plans and contribute to area and strategic plans.
• Ensure active participation of young people and manage funds and admin.
• Lead staff and volunteers, provide training and performance management.
