Job summary

YMCA South Midlands is seeking a Senior Youth Worker in Milton Keynes to be a positive role model for local young people. You will facilitate conversations, workshops and activities, and lead community programmes for youth aged 11–18, with sessions after 4pm and a weekly prep hour during term time (39 weeks/year).

The role is on a zero hours contract with sessions afternoons and evenings, offering a chance to develop youth work skills and contribute to a values-driven charity in our community.

Qualifications

• Direct experience working with groups of young people (11–25) in a youth club setting.
• A youth work qualification (JNC) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate meaningful conversations, workshops and activities with young people.
• Lead and organise community programmes for 11–18 year olds.
• Organise afternoon/evening youth sessions and 1 hour prep per session (term time).
