Job summary

Modus Careers is seeking an experienced Senior Designer for London who deeply understands workplace furniture, its performance, and how it integrates within live commercial environments. You’ll lead complex furniture projects from concept through installation, mentor junior designers, and collaborate with architects, end users, and internal teams to deliver high-quality spaces.

The role combines creative design with technical knowledge, including ergonomics, cable management, and product

Qualifications

• Extensive workplace furniture specification experience.
• Strong knowledge of leading workplace furniture manufacturers.
• Understanding of how furniture integrates with the wider workplace environment.
• Excellent client-facing and presentation skills.
• AutoCAD proficiency.
• Experience leading multiple commercial workplace projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple workplace furniture projects independently from concept through to completion.
• Produce creative, commercially viable furniture schemes.
• Specify furniture from leading manufacturers with confidence.
• Apply technical knowledge of workplace furniture within commercial environments.
• Mentor and support junior designers.
• Balance complex projects with multiple deadlines.
