Job summary

Modus Careers is seeking a Senior Designer for Workplace Furniture Specification & Consultancy in London. Hybrid working and an annual bonus are offered, with a salary up to £50,000 DOE. The role combines client-facing leadership with hands-on technical design, from concept through installation.

You will advise clients, create specifications, develop layouts, and coordinate complex projects, collaborating with senior stakeholders in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• Experience within the commercial workplace furniture sector.
• Strong understanding of the UK furniture manufacturer market.
• Ability to advise clients on products, suppliers and workplace solutions.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Self-starter with minimal supervision.
• Experience using AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite.

Responsibilities

• Advising clients, architects and design teams on workplace furniture solutions.
• Developing furniture specifications and presentation material.
• Space planning and workplace design.
• Producing technical drawings and installation information.
• Presenting concepts and recommendations to clients.
• Supporting tender submissions and project delivery.
• Researching manufacturers, products and emerging workplace trends.
• Coordinating multiple projects across varying scales.
• Contributing ideas to shape the business's future direction.
