Job summary

Government Property Agency is seeking a Workplace Design Manager to lead design management across major public sector projects. You will ensure designs align with GPA guides and client requirements, and guide teams through RIBA stages to deliver safe, inclusive, and flexible workspaces.

The role emphasises collaboration with clients and internal stakeholders, governance controls, and developing project-specific employer requirements for high-quality workplace environments.

Qualifications

• Experience on large property construction and fitout projects; public sector preferred.
• Senior-level experience in architectural/engineering/property consultancy or client organisation.
• Leading multi-disciplinary project teams; strong relationship building.
• Experience with governance controls and project management methodologies in complex environments.
• Developing project-specific employer requirements for building projects.

Responsibilities

• Advise Head of Workplace Design on project design status and progress.
• Oversee compliance with GPA Design Guide, Employer Requirements and related documents.
• Develop Employer Requirements for each project’s design.
• Coordinate with client and project team on design matters; ensure timely approvals.
