Job summary

Government Property Agency seeks an experienced Workplace Design Manager to ensure the Government Workplace Design Guide is applied across projects and to provide day-to-day design guidance to project teams. You will interpret client requirements, approve designs through RIBA stages, and coordinate with GPA partners to deliver high-quality, inclusive and flexible workplaces.

Reporting to the Head of Workplace Design, you will develop guides and policies, monitor design progress, and advise on

Qualifications

• Experience leading design management on large-scale, multi-disciplinary projects.
• Proven ability to interpret design guides and client requirements into briefing material.

Responsibilities

• Advise on design status and ensure alignment with programme priorities.
• Ensure compliance with GPA Design Guide and Employer Requirements.
• Develop Employer Requirements for project designs.
• Engage with clients and ensure timely updates on design matters.
• Translate design guides into briefing materials for CAT A & B stages.
• Provide advice and acceptance on designs during procurement and contract management.
• Collaborate with public and private sector professionals on design policy.
