Job summary

Onyx-Conseil in Farnborough is seeking a Senior Wireless Network Engineer to own complex Wi‑Fi projects and lead technical delivery. You will survey, design, deploy and optimise enterprise wireless networks across customer sites.

With hands‑on Ekahau experience and exposure to leading access points, you will mentor junior engineers, resolve critical incidents, and contribute to professional services in a hybrid role after six months.

Qualifications

• Strong experience surveying, designing and troubleshooting enterprise Wi‑Fi.
• Ekahau or similar wireless survey tool experience.
• Exposure to Aruba, Ruckus, Meraki, Cambium or Siklu.
• CCNA-level networking knowledge; current cert preferred.
• Previous NOC/MSP role with strong customer-facing communication.

Responsibilities

• Act as senior escalation point for complex network/wireless incidents.
• Survey, design, deploy and optimise enterprise Wi‑Fi solutions.
• Produce heatmaps, survey reports and technical docs.
• Deliver customer projects including installations, upgrades and migrations.

Are you an experienced Wireless Network Engineer with a background in Wi-Fi surveying, design and troubleshooting, looking to take technical ownership within a growing network team?

In this role, you will act as the senior escalation point within a fast-paced NOC while also delivering professional services across customer sites. You will survey, design, deploy and optimise enterprise wireless networks, resolve complex incidents and help develop the technical capability of more junior engineers.

The position offers genuine variety between NOC support, wireless consultancy and project delivery. You could be troubleshooting a complex Wi-Fi issue remotely, producing an Ekahau survey and network design, or attending a customer site to support an installation, upgrade or migration.

Candidates at the top end of the salary range will ideally be capable of independently delivering wireless surveys and designs, leading complex incident resolution and providing technical guidance to customers and colleagues.

The Role:

• Act as the senior escalation point for complex network and wireless incidents
• Survey, design, deploy and optimise enterprise Wi-Fi solutions
• Produce heatmaps, survey reports, network designs and technical documentation
• Deliver customer projects including installations, upgrades and migrations
• Mentor junior engineers and support routing, switching and wider network infrastructure

The Person:

• Strong commercial experience surveying, designing and troubleshooting enterprise Wi-Fi
• Experience with Ekahau or another recognised wireless survey platform
• Exposure to Aruba, Ruckus, Meraki, Cambium, Siklu or similar technologies
• CCNA-level networking knowledge, with a current certification strongly preferred
• Previous NOC or MSP experience with strong customer-facing communication skills

Applicants must be able to commute to Farnborough five days per week for the first six months and travel to customer sites when required. Full UK right to work and at least five years' continuous UK residency are also required.
