Job summary

Camlin is a global technology leader seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join its IT team in Lisburn, Northern Ireland. The role focuses on designing, implementing and supporting a large-scale Microsoft-based end user computing architecture, spanning on-premises, cloud and hybrid environments.

You will lead efforts around Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange Online, Teams and SharePoint, while driving automation, security controls and disaster recovery planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a Systems Administrator or Infrastructure Engineer role.
• Strong experience with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Exchange Online, Teams and SharePoint.
• Advanced knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory and identity management.
• Proven PowerShell scripting and automation experience.
• Experience managing Microsoft Intune and endpoint compliance solutions.
• Strong understanding of backup, disaster recovery and business continuity principles.
• Experience supporting hybrid cloud environments, particularly Microsoft Azure.
• Knowledge of enterprise networking technologies including DNS, DHCP, VPN and TCP/IP.
• Experience administering Windows and Linux environments.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices and ISO27001 controls.
• Proven ability to deliver complex infrastructure projects and technical improvements.
• Excellent communication, documentation and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement and support resilient on-premises, cloud and hybrid infrastructure environments.
• Administer Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive and Entra ID.
• Manage Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy and Linux systems.
• Administer endpoint management platforms including Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopilot.
• Maintain enterprise networking, virtualization, backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Manage cybersecurity technologies including Microsoft Defender, Fortinet security solutions and identity protection controls.
• Develop and maintain automation solutions using PowerShell and other scripting tools.
• Monitor, maintain and optimise infrastructure performance, availability and security.
• Implement and maintain policies, standards and controls aligned with ISO27001 and industry best practices.
• Evaluate new technologies and contribute to infrastructure roadmaps and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead infrastructure projects, system upgrades, migrations and cloud adoption activities.
• Participate in the on-call rota supporting critical business services.
