Job summary

Timely Recruit in London is seeking a Sustainability Consultant – Carbon & Net Zero to help clients measure, report and reduce emissions while developing practical Net Zero strategies.

The role is client-facing, hybrid, and involves delivering carbon footprints across scopes, building inventories, and contributing to SECR, CDP and SBTi submissions. You will translate data into actionable business insights for diverse organisations.

Qualifications

• Experience in corporate carbon accounting or sustainability consulting.
• Knowledge of Scope 1, 2 and 3 reporting.
• Familiarity with SECR, CDP, SBTi, IFRS S2 or CSRD.
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver corporate carbon footprints across Scope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3 emissions.
• Build and quality-assure GHG inventories in line with the GHG Protocol and ISO 14064-1.
• Support the development of Net Zero roadmaps and carbon reduction strategies.
• Analyse emissions data and produce client-ready reports, presentations and audit trails.
• Support SECR, CDP, Carbon Reduction Plans and SBTi submissions.
• Conduct stakeholder interviews and manage client data collection.
• Research and assess decarbonisation opportunities across energy, travel, fleet and supply chains.
• Support proposal writing and technical input for new client opportunities.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal tools, templates and methodologies.
• Keep up to date with evolving carbon accounting standards and climate reporting requirements.
