Job summary

Spectrum IT Recruitment is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to join an AI-first team on-site in Southampton. You will work across UI, APIs, and data, using AI tools to speed delivery and improve quality.

The role spans frontend and backend across multiple parts of the stack, with emphasis on performance, security, and reliability, and involves contributing to architectural decisions.

Qualifications

• Experience with a modern frontend framework (React, Vue, Svelte or similar).
• Backend development experience in at least one language (Node.js/TypeScript, Python, Go, C# or similar).
• Experience with APIs, relational databases and cloud environments.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, containers and modern deployment practices.

Full Stack Developer - AI-first approach - This is an ON-SITE role in Southampton, Hampshire

This is your opportunity to join a growing digital technology specialist as a Senior Developer using AI daily to improve speed, quality and customer outcomes. This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable moving between frontend, backend, data, and web, and who is already using AI tools as part of their day-to-day development workflow.

You'll be working in a pragmatic, collaborative environment where developers take ownership of features from concept through to deployment, and where modern tooling and AI-assisted development are actively encouraged.

What You'll Be Doing

AI & Modern Development

• Practical experience using Claude for programming efficiency and tools such as GitHub, Copilot, Cursor, or similar
• Understanding of where AI adds value in the software development lifecycle
• Interest in emerging areas such as LLM APIs, RAG, or automation is beneficial but not essential
