Job summary

Global Payments Inc. is seeking a Senior Web Developer for the TRANSAXpay Payments team. You will build web applications ranging from consumer payment pages to merchant APIs and internal tools, shaping global commerce.

You'll work with clients to understand needs and support integrations with our services. A background in payments/fintech is a plus, with a hybrid model based around Birmingham, UK.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Java, HTML, CSS and JavaScript for web applications.
• Experience building REST APIs and using Spring Boot.
• Familiarity with J2EE components, databases (Oracle) and build tools like Gradle or Maven.
• Knowledge of Linux environments and version control with Git.

Senior Web Developer – TRANSAXpay Payments Team

Our Product and Technology teams are the global payment solutions behind the game‑changing products and digital experiences we’re best known for. Striving for better, we never stand still — delivering impactful innovations that power transactions across the world.

Our TRANSAXpay Development team is a small, tight‑knit community of 25 developers, project managers and testers, mostly based around Birmingham, U.K., but also in Scotland, the Netherlands, the USA and India. The nominal base is our office in Birmingham, U.K., but we operate a hybrid working model and have a few permanently remote workers.

We develop payments solutions under our TRANSAXpay brand, predominantly covering credit/debit/store card/gift card acceptance through Chip and PIN payment terminals. We also support fuel card acceptance for a number of different brands as well as online e‑commerce payments and our own closed‑loop stored‑value solution.
