Job summary

The Crowd are a global multidisciplinary creative studio seeking a Senior Wayfinding Designer to join their growing team. You will lead projects from research and strategy through to detailed design, artwork and implementation, collaborating with architects, clients and fabricators to craft intuitive wayfinding systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in wayfinding, environmental graphic design or a closely related role.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating wayfinding or environmental graphic design projects from concept through to implementation.
• Excellent knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop.

Responsibilities

• Lead wayfinding projects from brief through to completion, taking ownership of design quality and delivery.
• Develop wayfinding strategies, sign families, information hierarchies, graphic systems and environmental graphics.
• Undertake circulation planning, user journey analysis and research into users, place and context.
• Develop designs through concepts, location plans, elevations, messaging schedules, detailed design and final artwork.
• Present design concepts and rationale confidently to clients and key stakeholders.
• Collaborate with architects, designers, project managers, manufacturers and fabricators throughout the design process.
• Consider accessibility, legibility, scale, materiality and buildability across all schemes.
• Review prototypes and samples and support projects through production, installation and completion.
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
