Job summary

WSP in the United Kingdom seeks a senior water quality professional to lead technical delivery across river and lake quality projects. You will steer projects financially, review quality, and mentor junior staff while shaping a training programme with the Water Quality Service Lead.

You will develop scopes, draft winning proposals, and present complex data to clients and stakeholders. A Chartered professional with UK regulatory knowledge is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Understanding of river, lake and TraCs water quality protection under UK regulations and EU policy.
• Experience with surface water quality and catchment modelling, EIA scoping and hydrology assessments.
• Knowledge of UK water quality frameworks and regulatory environments.

Responsibilities

• Leading the technical delivery of projects covering water quality aspects.
• Project direction including financial and change control and QA through reviews.
• Mentoring and supervising junior colleagues with potential for people management.
• Developing a programme of water quality training with the Water Quality Service Lead.
• Agreeing scopes of services with the team and Water Quality Service Lead.
• Generating high-quality bid proposals and innovative client solutions.
• Producing client and public-facing deliverables with clear data visualisation and interpretation.
• Collaborating across sectors to deliver water quality for challenging projects.
• Promoting a safety-first attitude in line with WSP policies.
