Job summary

Stantec in Cardiff is seeking a Senior Water Network Modeller to lead the technical delivery of water network modelling projects across UK frameworks. You’ll calibrate and analyse hydraulic models using InfoWorks WS Pro, InfoWater Pro, Synergi Water and related tools, delivering studies on optimisation, leakage reduction and resilience.

You’ll mentor junior modellers, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to innovative digital delivery within a supportive, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

  • Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering, Water Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Experience delivering water network modelling projects in the UK.
  • Strong knowledge of industry-standard modelling software (InfoWorks WS Pro, InfoWater Pro, Synergi Water).
  • Experience leading technical delivery of modelling projects.
  • Understanding of network optimisation, leakage and pressure management.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience mentoring or supporting the development of junior engineers or modellers.

We're looking for a Senior Water Network Modeller to join our growing team in Cardiff. This is an exciting opportunity to play a leading role in the technical delivery of clean water modelling projects while working alongside recognised industry specialists on some of the UK's most significant water infrastructure programmes. As part of one of the UK's leading multidisciplinary water consultancies, you'll contribute to innovative digital solutions, collaborate with experts from across our national business and continue developing your career within a supportive and collaborative environment.

About The Role

As a Senior Water Network Modeller, you'll lead the technical delivery of water network modelling projects across a broad range of clean water programmes, supporting clients from feasibility and optioneering through to detailed analysis and investment planning.

Your Responsibilities Will Include
  • Leading the delivery of water network modelling projects across major UK water frameworks.

Your contribution will play an important role in delivering engineering excellence and maintaining Stantec's reputation as a trusted partner within the UK water sector.

Essential
ABOUT YOU
  • Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering, Water Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Experience delivering water network modelling projects within the UK water sector.
  • Strong knowledge of industry-standard modelling software such as InfoWorks WS Pro, InfoWater Pro, Synergi Water or equivalent.
  • Experience leading the technical delivery of modelling projects.
  • Good understanding of network optimisation, leakage management and pressure management.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience mentoring or supporting the development of junior engineers or modellers.
Desirable
  • Chartered Engineer status or working towards Chartership.
  • Experience using GIS platforms such as ArcGIS.
  • Experience with water balance studies, digital solutions or advanced data analytics.
  • Experience working on UK regulated water company frameworks.
