Job summary

Arcadis seeks a Principal Wastewater Modeller in Glasgow to lead wastewater modelling and manage key project aspects. You will work closely with clients to grow Arcadis’s project portfolio and ensure technical deliverables meet client expectations and regulatory standards.

You will mentor junior colleagues, coordinate multidisciplinary inputs, and contribute to bids and programmes, while promoting collaborative problem solving and innovation in water infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Advanced expertise in hydraulic modelling for wastewater projects and networks.
• Proven experience coordinating teams and multiple stakeholders.
• Proficient in InfoWorks ICM and GIS software packages.
• HADES knowledge would be advantageous.
• Chartered member of ICE or CIWEM and model QA procedures.
• Strong report-writing skills and advanced spreadsheet analysis.
• Coding experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead wastewater modelling projects and client engagement.
• Review and verify models; oversee surveys and design support.
• Guide concept and detailed design stages with designers.
• Prepare high-quality reports and presentations for clients.
• Resolve modelling challenges and share technical knowledge.
• Coordinate resources, QA, and subcontractor interactions.
• Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure project integrity.
• Support bids, cost estimates, and programme development.
