Job summary

AECOM invites applications for a Senior Wastewater Hydraulic Modeller to join our Water team. The role supports major UK and international water projects, building hydraulic models and delivering robust solutions across flood risk and pollution control.

You’ll collaborate with multi-disciplinary experts in a flexible hybrid setup, contributing to innovative blue-green infrastructure and resilient communities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, GIS, Geography, Civil Engineering, or similar subject.
• Experience in Hydraulic Modelling GIS or Data Analysis, in particular ArcGIS or MapInfo.
• Knowledge of Hydraulic Modelling or Asset management, in particular Innovyze ICM or InfoAsset.
• Proven experience in water consultancy.

Responsibilities

• Deliver: Build hydraulic models and verification of sewer networks; support scoping and planning of projects including flow survey verification and development of catchment-scale solutions for flooding and pollution risks.
• Expertise: Deliver technical innovation including application of new technologies and problem solve for clients with tender responses.
• Documentation: Prepare and deliver technical reports, presentations, and documentation communicating modelling findings clearly.
• Lead: Mentor and support team members and foster positive client relationships.
• Quality: Check hydraulic models and reports to ensure high-quality delivery and compliance with modelling specs.
