Job summary

RSK Group is seeking a Senior Waste and Resources Consultant (Waste classification) to lead technically robust waste consultancy projects across the UK. The role centers on classification of construction, demolition and excavation wastes while guiding broader waste and resources workstreams as needed.

Ideal candidates will have a degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, or Geology, with strong consultancy project management experience, UK regulatory understanding, and a proven ability to

Qualifications

• Degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Geology, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrable experience managing consultancy or technical projects (scope, programme, budget, client comms).
• Strong technical experience in classifying construction, demolition and excavation wastes with WM3 knowledge.
• Ability to review site data and reach clearly evidenced classification decisions.
• Good knowledge of UK waste legislation and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of waste consultancy projects with focus on waste classification.
• Act as project manager and main client contact for assigned projects.
• Define project scope, programme, budget and deliverables; coordinate teams.
• Provide technical advice on waste classification and regulatory compliance.
• Produce auditable waste classification reports and advise on onward management.
