Greene Tweed is seeking a Senior Quality Specialist to lead and maintain the Quality Management System. You will ensure product conformance to customer requirements, train staff in QMS activities, and drive data-driven decisions that improve quality performance.

You will work with SAP, QDS, MES and other data systems to manage documentation, support PPAP and first articles, and help coordinate calibration and audits. A strong background in quality and continuous improvement is essential.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of quality experience in manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of quality procedures, inspection techniques, and drawings.
  • Experience with ISO/AS QMS and cross-functional coordination.

General Summary

The Senior Quality Specialist is responsible for ensuring that Greene, Tweed products meet the standards that we, our customers, the industries we serve, and third-party entities define for them. This position leads and supports the implementation and maintenance of Quality Management System and continuous improvement programs and ensures product conformance to customer requirements. Provides training and coaching to other personnel in Quality Management System activities. Operates independently making data driven decisions that impact GT Quality performance.

Core Responsibilities
  • Create, complete, and upload customer documentation packets based on individual customer requirements including first articles, PPAP, customer forms, certification uploads, and physical property reports. Utilize software and customer portal systems as required.
  • Support Lean and Six Sigma improvement activities by participating in teams, collecting and analysing data, identifying opportunities for improvement and ensuring quality and process related documentation is updated.
  • Create, maintain, and use electronic data systems (SAP, QDS, MES, Gage Pack, Net Inspect, etc.) to ensure accurate data. Manage documentation and records to support the Quality Management System.
  • Interpret customer and GTC drawings, specifications, and identify necessary key characteristics for inspection. Lead or support tracking of in-process product issues and performance metrics as required for trend analysis and driving continuous improvement.
  • Supporting internal QMS activities to ensure product conformity with internal, industry, and customer requirements. This includes interpreting and verifying customer prints, PO’s, and quality clause requirements and ensuring that GT documentation complies with customer requirements and may achieve certification for and perform Designated Quality Representative (DQR/DSQR) duties as directed by Customer Supplier Release programs
  • Lead and administer calibration process including, but not limited to, coordination of calibration services, internal calibrations, troubleshooting calibration non-conformities (OOT Events), maintain calibration certifications, etc.
  • Supports customer process audits and product substantiation reviews with customers onsite.
  • Facilitates internal training on quality assurance requirements, processes, and procedures.
  • Support first article inspection requirements, PPAP, and other product related documentation.

Required Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant Quality experience.
  • Knowledge of Quality procedures, inspection techniques, specifications & drawings within a manufacturing environment.
  • Good communication skills, including the ability to work cross-functionally required.
  • Understanding of LSS tools & manufacturing fundamentals.
  • ISO/AS Quality Management System experience required.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office suite - Word and Excel.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems – SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards or similar.
  • ASQ certification such as CQI, CQT, CQA, or similar a plus.
  • May require GD&T, CMM programming, optical equipment programming and/or NDT capabilities.
  • Knowledge and use of standard measuring devices.
  • Action-oriented – ability to develop and execute tactical plans, working independently as well as coaching site functions; Acts with a sense of urgency and takes well-reasoned, proactive action when goals are not being met
  • Strong situational adaptability – has the ability to quickly adapt to changing circumstances and help foster necessary response across the organization
