Job summary

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board is seeking a Band 6 Nurse on a secondment basis to support ward management in Bangor. The post requires taking charge in the Ward Manager's absence and ensuring efficient ward operation in line with national and board policies.

The role involves supervising junior staff, contributing to care program development, and providing clinical and nurse management within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Support the Ward Manager in the day-to-day management of the ward.
• Take charge of the ward in the absence of the Ward Manager.
• Ensure the ward runs efficiently by promoting mental health care in line with Health Board policies and NMC guidelines.
• Contribute to the development of junior staff through supervision and tuition.
• Oversee assessment of care needs and develop, implement and evaluate care programmes in a multi-disciplinary setting.
