Job summary

Cygnet Group seeks a confident Senior Night Support Worker to provide overnight care at Oxley Woodhouse in Huddersfield. You’ll cover 42 hours weekly with 12-hour shifts and alternate weekends, contributing to person-centred care for residents with complex needs.

You are an experienced, communicative, and proactive professional with leadership potential who can empower service users and support the care team. DBS check is required and shifts offer ongoing development and wellbeing benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience as a support worker or similar role.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to take on supervisory responsibilities and leadership tasks.
• Willingness to undergo enhanced DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Provide enhanced care with a flexible, person-centred approach to individuals in our care.
• Offer guidance and encouragement through physical and emotional support.
• Learn about individuals’ needs and respond in the most appropriate way.
• Assist with medical and welfare needs and report as required.
• Support management in day-to-day running of the service.
• Undertake supervisory and administrative responsibilities.
• Safeguard residents and maintain a safe environment.

You'll be working full time42hours a week,12hour shifts, including alternate weekends (four shifts week one, three shifts week two, on a two week rolling rota), Nights only,making a positive difference to the lives of the people in our care at Oxley Woodhouse.

Oxley Woodhouse is a specialist residential service in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, supporting people with learning disabilities, complex needs and behaviours that may challenge.
