Morgan McKinley is seeking a Senior VP-level Credit Risk Analytics Tech Lead in London to shape architecture, drive delivery and lead cross-functional teams across Risk, Technology and Front Office.
The role focuses on PFE analytics, credit risk pricing, and the application of AI within a major risk platform, with hybrid working in London.
I’m working with a leading global financial institution that is expanding its Credit Risk Analytics Technology capability in London.
This is a senior technology role sitting at the intersection of Credit Risk, quantitative analytics and software engineering. The successful candidate will combine strong hands-on development capability with deep knowledge of Credit Risk and PFE analytics, helping shape the technology strategy and delivery of a critical risk platform.
The Role
You will act as a senior Credit Risk SME / Technology Lead, contributing to the architecture, development and rollout of Credit Risk Analytics solutions while working closely with Risk, Technology and Front Office stakeholders.
The role includes responsibility for:
Technical Environment
The core development stack includes:
This is where the role becomes particularly specialised.
You should have strong practical knowledge of Credit Risk pricing and PFE, including areas such as:
Experience with S&P Global Financial Risk Analytics / fraimWRX would be particularly relevant.
Exposure to Market Risk technologies such as VaR, Stress Testing or FRTB would also be advantageous.
What We're Looking For
We're interested in senior engineers, technical leads, architects and Credit Risk technology specialists who can demonstrate both:
1. Strong engineering capability
and
2. Genuine Credit Risk / PFE domain expertise
This is not a role for someone who simply has C# experience and has worked adjacent to Risk.
You should be comfortable operating as a technical SME, engaging with senior stakeholders and taking ownership of architecture and delivery across complex Credit Risk technology.
Why This Role?
You will have significant exposure to a major Credit Risk Analytics transformation, working across technology, quantitative risk and engineering rather than operating within a narrow development remit.
There is also scope to influence how AI and modern engineering practices are applied within the Credit Risk technology environment.
Location: London
Working model: Hybrid
Level: Senior VP
If you have a background spanning Credit Risk / PFE and senior software engineering, I'd be interested in speaking with you.
