Citi London is hiring a Lead Forward Deployed AI Engineer to architect and deliver sophisticated, production-grade AI agent systems for banking workflows. You will mentor engineers, own design patterns, and drive secure, scalable integrations across enterprise platforms.

Qualifications

• Proven backend engineering experience with production-grade AI apps.
• Strong Python expertise including asynchronous workflows.
• Experience with microservices, containers, and orchestration.
• Knowledge of enterprise API integrations and security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and hands-on delivery in embedded teams.
• Design and deploy end-to-end agentic workflows using Python and LangGraph.
• Integrate AI agents with banking systems, APIs, databases and microservices.
• Ensure secure, resilient agent execution environments with proper controls.
• Mentor engineers and drive engineering standards across projects.
• Collaborate with architects and stakeholders to solve complex tech challenges.
• Contribute reusable architectures to Citi's AI platform.
• Champion responsible AI with governance and risk considerations.
