Job summary

Referment is seeking a Senior Virtualization and Storage Engineer to own mature production platforms and shape their next generation through evaluation, proofs of concept and carefully planned migrations. You’ll combine hands-on operational responsibility with long-range design across virtualization, enterprise storage and automation, ensuring reliability while leading complex platform evolution.

Qualifications

• At least ten years of hands-on server virtualization experience.
• Expertise in VMware/Hyper-V/KVM with multi-platform exposure.
• Experience with enterprise storage, SAN and software-defined storage a plus.
• Proficient in Python and PowerShell scripting.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain production virtualization platforms and storage solutions.
• Research alternative technologies, run proofs of concept and define migration paths.
• Build automation and tooling to improve reliability and scalability.
• Plan and execute virtualization and storage migrations with cross-functional teams.
• Provide technical direction on large initiatives while remaining hands-on.
