Job summary

Vets Now Manchester, part of Inspiring Vet Care, is recruiting a Diplomate or residency-trained Surgeon to support our growing soft tissue and orthopaedic referral caseload within a multidisciplinary, specialist-led environment.

You will deliver advanced procedures, mentor residents and collaborate with referring practices, with a 40-hour week (10-hour shifts), no weekend on-call, and a generous package including 7 weeks leave, private medical insurance, pension, CPD allowance and other benefits.

Qualifications

• A veterinary degree with RCVS registration.
• Residency-trained, board-certified (ECVS/ACVS) or board-eligible.
• Advanced clinical experience in soft tissue or orthopaedic surgery.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied referral caseload across soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery.
• Deliver advanced surgical procedures and uphold patient care standards.
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary referral environment.
• Provide clinical advice and support to referring practices.
• Support and mentor colleagues through collaboration and knowledge sharing.
• Contribute to growth and development of the surgical referral service.
• Supervise surgery residents and rotating interns.
