Job summary

Vets Now Manchester, part of Inspiring Vet Care, is recruiting a Referral Veterinary Surgeon to support and drive our growing referral caseload across soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery, with potential focus areas depending on expertise.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver advanced surgical care, supervise residents, mentor interns, and contribute to a collaborative, specialist-led environment.

Qualifications

• Veterinary degree and RCVS registration.
• Residency-trained, board-certified (ECVS/ACVS) or board-eligible.
• Advanced clinical experience in soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery.
• Strong communication skills with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied and complex referral caseload across soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery.
• Deliver advanced surgical procedures and maintain high standards of patient care.
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary referral environment.
• Provide clinical advice and support to referring practices.
• Mentor colleagues through collaboration and knowledge sharing.
• Contribute to growth and development of the surgical referral service.
• Supervise surgery residents and rotating interns.
