Job summary

Vets Now Manchester is a multidisciplinary small animal referral hospital seeking a Diplomate or residency-trained Surgeon to support our growing referral caseload in soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery. The role involves collaboration with our multidisciplinary team and mentoring of residents, delivering advanced surgical care and guidance to referring practices.

Qualifications

• Veterinary degree with RCVS registration.
• Residency-trained, board-certified (ECVS/ACVS) or board-eligible.
• Advanced clinical experience in soft tissue or orthopaedic surgery.
• Strong communication with clients, referring vets and multidisciplinary teams.
• Collaborative, supportive, team-focused approach.
• Commitment to evidence-based practice and governance.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied referral caseload across soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery.
• Deliver advanced surgical procedures and high standards of patient care.
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary referral environment.
• Provide clinical advice to referring practices.
• Support and mentor colleagues through collaboration.
• Supervise surgery residents and rotating interns.
