Medivet & Partners in Wokingham is seeking a Senior Veterinary Nurse to support the Head Nurse and oversee the clinical nursing team in a busy 24-hour practice. You will deliver nurse-led appointments and assist the veterinary team to maintain high standards of care.

You will lead by example, manage the nursing environment fairly and firmly, and contribute to a positive client and patient experience. Shifts are 8 hours with every 4th weekend and on-call rota discussed at interview.

Qualifications

• You’re a RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse with a passion for delivering exceptional patient and client care.
• You’re a team player who wants to make a real difference in a practice that values and supports you.
• You have a good work ethic, the confidence to lead by example and guide the team accordingly, a good sense of humour and a desire to put animals in our care first.

Responsibilities

• Support the Head Nurse in overseeing the effectiveness of the clinical areas and performance of the nursing team. Our nursing team currently consists of 6 RVNs, 2 SVNs and a VCA.
• Support the vet team where needed. Our vet team currently consists of 5 day vets and 3 night vets.
• Monitor stock levels and have an awareness of cost saving and effective stock management.
• Deliver exceptional care to patients, carrying out nurse led appointments and schedule 3 activities, supporting consults, surgeries and procedures, complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards
• Deliver patient monitoring and care, and manage admissions and discharges
• Deliver exceptional care to your clients
• Work collaboratively within a supportive team
