Job summary

Pybus Recruitment Ltd in Chelmsford is seeking an experienced Senior Vehicle Technician to join our workshop team. You will perform advanced diagnostics, servicing, and repairs across a range of vehicles to high quality and safety standards.

You will mentor junior technicians, help maintain productivity, and ensure customer satisfaction through first-time repair accuracy and technical excellence. A competitive salary and ongoing training are provided.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair is preferred.
• NVQ Level 2 with significant relevant industry experience will be considered.
• Proven experience as Vehicle Technician, Diagnostic Technician, or Senior Vehicle Technician.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, repairs and inspections to standards.
• Diagnose complex faults using diagnostic equipment.
• Conduct health checks and identify defects or safety concerns.
• Complete high-quality repairs for retail-ready vehicles.
• Install accessories and upgrades as required.
• Road test to confirm repairs and diagnose issues.
• Record work, parts used and diagnostics clearly.
• Support workshop efficiency and maintain quality standards.
• Mentor junior technicians and apprentices where appropriate.
• Deliver high workmanship to minimise repeat repairs and maximise customer satisfaction.
