Job summary

EV Tech Recruitment Solutions Ltd is seeking an experienced Multi-Skilled Vehicle Technician in the Sevenoaks district of Kent. The role offers £35,000–£45,000 per year, depending on experience, with standard Mon-Fri hours 8:00 am–5:30 pm and a varied workload across petrol, diesel, hybrid and fully electric vehicles.

The successful candidate will perform servicing, diagnostics and complex mechanical repairs, using diagnostic equipment and following safety procedures in a busy independent

Qualifications

• Minimum IMI Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or an equivalent recognised qualification.
• Proven hands-on experience working as a Motor Vehicle Technician in a professional workshop.
• Strong practical experience with cambelt replacements, wet belt replacements and clutch repairs.
• Competence in general servicing, diagnostics and mechanical repairs.
• Experience working on passenger cars and light commercial vehicles.
• Ability to work independently, diagnose faults accurately and complete repairs efficiently.
• Good attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs on passenger cars and light commercial vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults across various vehicle makes and models.
• Undertake cambelt, wet belt and clutch replacements confidently and independently.
• Perform general engine repairs, brake repairs, suspension work and other mechanical maintenance.
• Use diagnostic equipment to identify faults and recommend appropriate repairs.
• Work on petrol, diesel, hybrid and fully electric vehicles within the limits of relevant training and competence.
• Ensure all work is completed to a high standard, following manufacturer guidance and workshop safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
