Job summary

Lookers Volkswagen Preston are recruiting for a Senior / Master Technician to join their workshop. You’ll perform health checks, services, and repairs, working with experienced technicians and reporting to the Aftersales Manager.

Career progression and manufacturer training are available, with hybrid & Electric training opportunities. Hours are 40 per week Mon-Fri 8:30am-5:00pm, plus 1 in 3 Saturdays 8:30am-12:30pm.

Qualifications

• Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent.
• Motor industry experience (brand or non-brand) preferred.
• Full and valid UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out pre-delivery inspections on vehicles.
• Carrying out checks in line with manufacturers guidelines.
• Fitting additional accessories requested by customers.
• Vehicle health check and reporting further work if required.
• Checking lights, tyre pressure, and mechanical/electrical components.
• Completing minor repairs on vehicles.
• Diagnose basic mechanical and electrical issues.
• Carrying out vehicle services per guidelines and customer requests.
• Complete relevant paperwork to a high standard.

Education

NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair

Full UK driving licence
