Job summary

Perfect Placement is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician for a well-established, family-run independent garage in Uckfield, East Sussex.

You will diagnose and repair a broad range of vehicles, conduct MOTs for classes 4, 5 and 7, and maintain high workshop standards in a friendly, supportive team. This role offers a Monday to Friday schedule with no weekend work and access to high-spec diagnostic tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years' experience as Vehicle Technician.
• Broad knowledge of all vehicle types including light commercial vehicles and minibuses.
• MOT licence is desirable but not essential.
• Ability to work efficiently and independently.
• Familiarity with Autodata and Snap-on equipment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair a broad range of vehicles.
• Conduct MOT repairs and inspections for classes 4, 5, and 7.
• Maintain vehicle health through regular inspections and repairs.
• Perform general maintenance tasks adhering to manufacturer guidelines.
• Use diagnostic scanners and hand tools to identify faults and implement effective repairs.
• Support the team in ensuring smooth workshop operations and exceptional customer service.
