Job summary

Hawk Hiring LTD in Swindon is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician/Car Mechanic to join our busy independent workshop. You will perform servicing, health checks, and repairs across a range of vehicles, including EVs, using advanced diagnostic software.

Base salary £35,000–£40,000 per year, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM–5:30 PM with no weekends. We offer on-site parking, modern facilities, a pension scheme, and a supportive team culture.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 (or City & Guilds / time-served equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
• Full UK driving licence and own hand tools.
• Active MOT Tester licence or F-Gas certification preferred but not required.
• Reliable, self-motivated team player comfortable using digital systems and adapting to different car brands.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, safety checks and mechanical repairs across a range of vehicles.
• Perform diagnostic fault-finding using advanced diagnostic software to resolve faults.
