Job summary

Methodica Technologies Inc. in Coventry, UK is seeking a Senior Vehicle Controls Engineer responsible for developing and implementing by-wire control algorithms for EV chassis.

You will collaborate with Embedded SW Engineers to design vehicle dynamic control systems, calibrate components, and test in MIL/SIL/HiL environments. Qualifications

• Outstanding academic background in Mechanical or Control Engineering.
• Demonstrable relevant experience in automotive vehicle control systems.
• Proficiency in control and estimation theory, vehicle dynamics and torque vectoring.
• Strong knowledge of real time on-vehicle applications with Simulink/Stateflow.
• Embedded C programming knowledge.
• Experience with MiL, SiL and HiL testing techniques for unit & system test.
• Vehicle network communication knowledge, e.g., CAN/CANFD.
• Familiarity with Autosar Application Layer & RTE.
• Understanding of v-model techniques, Aspice and ISO26262 functional safety.
• Flexibility to take on tasks outside of own comfort zone in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Define, design, and deliver vehicle dynamic control functions (ABS, TCS, ESC, Steering) including requirements, interfaces, and algorithms.
• Implement function control in Simulink/Stateflow.
• Conduct component testing using MIL and SIL techniques.
• Work cross-functionally to deliver software components.
• Support testing your SW component within the system on the HIL bench.
• Support SW component verification & validation against requirements.
