Job summary
Auto Skills UK is seeking an experienced VDA/Estimator for a full-time, permanent role in Yeovil. You will assess accident-damaged vehicles, produce accurate repair estimates and work with customers, insurers and the workshop team to ensure repairs are completed to the highest standard.
The ideal candidate has proven VDA/Estimator experience in automotive accident repair, solid knowledge of panel, MET and paint processes, and proficiency with estimating systems.
Qualifications
- Proven VDA/Estimator experience in automotive accident repair.
- Strong knowledge of panel, MET and paint repair.
- Able to produce accurate repair estimates.
- Familiar with estimating software.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Responsibilities
- Assess accident-damaged vehicles and identify repair requirements.
- Prepare detailed repair estimates using estimating systems.
- Determine repair methods, labour needs and parts.
- Identify additional damage and prepare supplements.
- Liaise with customers, insurers and workshop teams.
- Coordinate with technicians to reflect required repairs.
- Monitor progress and report changes.
- Ensure estimates comply with manufacturer standards and health and safety.
