Job summary

Bishop Fleming is seeking an experienced VAT professional to lead and expand its VAT offering in the UK, working with the VAT Partner and leadership team. You will own projects, develop client relationships, and mentor junior staff while enjoying a clear path to Director within a flexible, hybrid-working environment.

The role focuses on VAT advisory for corporates, international businesses, education, charities and public sector clients, with opportunities to shape services across manufacturing,

Qualifications

• Extensive VAT experience in practice or HMRC environment.
• Able to grow fee revenues across a diverse client base.
• Experience with cross-border VAT considerations & M&A VAT issues.

Responsibilities

• Advising UK and international clients on VAT and indirect tax implications of international trade.
• Advising education and public sector clients on VAT liability of income and VAT recovery including partial exemption.
• Analysing VAT implications of residential and commercial property transactions and developments.
• Managing client relationships and expectations.
• Scoping project proposals, monitoring budgets and billing.
• Communicating key VAT developments via articles, webinars and social media.
• Contributing to business development and sector groups.
