Job summary

Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Consultant in Vascular Surgery based at John Radcliffe Hospital. The role covers elective and emergency endovascular and open procedures across Oxford, with cross-cover for the Thames Valley Vascular Network and potential paediatric cases on rare occasions.

The post holder will participate in teaching, training junior doctors, and research as part of the regular job plan, with a focus on compassionate, evidence-based patient care.

Qualifications

• GMC Registration: licensed to practise in the UK.
• Membership or Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS) or equivalent.
• Specialist vascular surgery training with CCT or equivalent pathway.

Responsibilities

• Cover the full range of elective and emergency endovascular and open vascular surgery in Oxford.
• Provide cross-cover for the Thames Valley Vascular Network hospitals.
• Engage in teaching and research as part of everyday clinical activity.
