Job summary

Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Band 7 Advanced Podiatrist with a vascular focus. The post will be based in Peterborough or Huntingdon and will work across county sites to provide high-quality vascular foot care in both acute and community settings.

You will lead MDT development, supervise podiatrists, and contribute to education and prescribing. A MSc or ambition to study, plus independent prescribing, are preferred; driving licence and vehicle

Qualifications

• Local anaesthetics certificate
• Evidence of continuing professional development in relevant area
• An MSc in relevant field or willingness to work towards one
• Independent Prescribing qualification or willingness to work towards one
• Ability to demonstrate working at 7 levels in line with the Podiatry Skill competency framework for a Band 7 Podiatrist
• Accredited post registration training in relevant areas
• Teaching qualification

Responsibilities

• Apply advanced clinical practice to patients with active foot disease.
• Develop MDT across the county and streamline transfer of care between acutes and communities.
• Oversee management of the most complex foot cases.
• Supervise and train other podiatrists and review competencies.
• Lead on total contact casting and prescribing.
• Travel across the county and work with multiple sites as required.
